This website was set up to mark the Transit of Venus in 2004. It is no longer updated, but you can visit our school website at www.maelorschool.org.uk.

We had good visibility of the Transit of Venus on the 8th June last year when we were an official observer, feeding our results into the International database to calculate the exact distance to the Sun.

Our day trip to CERN in Geneva with the VIth form Physics Students is now in its third year. We are planning another visit in July with the current year 12 students.

From September 2006 we will be offering A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics and Applied Science.
